X-Ray Diffraction Crystal Optics

1st ID crystal

This a picture of the first ever ID line monochromator crystal as designed and manufactured by the founder of our company for use at SBC CAT at APS. The featured reflections originate from the optical table onn which the crystal was mounted to take the picture.

1st ID crystal-bottom

This a picture of the first ID line monochromator crystal as designed and manufactured by the founder of our company for use at IMCA CAT and MR CAT at APS.

Diffraction surface of ID crystal

This is the Syton® polished diffraction surface of the first ID line monochromator crystal in which a reflection of the camera lens is seen.

Mectmo

This is a picture of a MECT monochromator in use at NSLS, Brookhaven National Laboratory. Both of the crystals in use in this monochromator were produced by the founder of our company.

1st BM crystal

This a picture of the first BM line monochromator crystal before it has been chemically etched. The crystal was designed and manufactured by the founder of our company for use at IMCA CAT at APS.
